Italo-Franconian Microworkshop on Functional Analysis,
Measure Theory, and Integral Geometry

This microworkshop will be organized by Jürgen Appell, Department of Mathematics, University of Würzburg. Financial support by the German Research Foundation (DFG) is gratefully acknowledged.

The aim and scope is to bring together experts which give an overview on recent developments in the topics indicated in the title.

The scientific program consists of the following 4 expository lectures

10.00-11:00: Anna Martellotti (Perugia, Italy): Gutta cavat lapidem: the ``drop property'' in Banach spaces

11.15-12:15: Martin Väth (Würzburg, Franconia): The Furi-Martelli-Vignoli spectrum vs. the phantom

15.30-16:30: Espedito De Pascale (Cosenza, Italy): Applications of the Arzela-Ascoli theorem to ODE's

17.00-18:00: Aljosa Volcic (Trieste, Italy): A three-dimensional geometric tomography problem
