Abstract:

Navier-Stokes equations are a system of partial differential equations describing the motion of viscous fluid substances. This system of equations has attracted the atention of generations of mathematicians, who studied its analytical aspects. Despite of their effort, fundamental problems related to the Navier-Stokes equations remain open. After the introduction of the system, we discuss basic aspects from the mathematical theory of the Navier-Stokes equations. The last part of the talk is devoted to the local in time existence of a strong solution to compressible generalized Navier-Stokes equations.

Here you will find an overview of all events.
