    Michelle Fitzpatrick is Assistant Professor in Mathematics Education at Mary Immaculate College, Ireland. Her research interests include mathematics and STEM education, initial teacher education and professional development.

    Hee-Jeong Kim is an associate professor at Korea University.

     

    Koeno Gravemeijer 

    Koeno Gravemeijer is an Emeritus Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. His research focuses on instructional design, design research, realistic mathematics education (RME), and students’ use of symbols and modeling. He developed the concept of ‘emergent modeling’ and has contributed to both research and textbook development in the Netherlands and the USA. Recently, his work explores how mathematics education can prepare students for the society of the future.

    Kate le Roux

    Kate le Roux is an Assistant Professor in Mathematics Education at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Her research explores the intersections of language, mathematics, and disciplinary knowledge-making in science and engineering. With a focus on equity, power, access, and curriculum redesign in multilingual contexts, she draws on critical perspectives in mathematics education, engaging with the socio-political and socio-ecological dimensions of teaching and learning.
