Research

Our research at Chair X uses different mathematical methods to answer questions from mathematical physics. In addition we develop these methods further and find new applications. The primary mathematical disciplines at Chair X are:

• Differential Geometry (Symplectic and Poisson Geometry, Generalized Geometries, Riemannian and Sub-Riemannian Geometry, Lie Theory)
• Functional Analysis (Operator Algebras, Unbounded Operators, Locally Convex Algebras)
• Algebra (Algebras and Module Categories, Representation Theory, Deformation Theory, Category Theory)
