Oberseminar "Mathematische Logik" - Prof. Dr. Anton Freund

If we represent real numbers by arbitrary Cauchy sequences rather than decimal expansions, Cantor's diagonal argument is not straightforward. We investigate which axioms are needed to prove the uncountability of the reals for that representation. This combines ideas from set theory (forcing) and proof theory (metastability).
