Fourth ‘Women in Maths’ meeting for female employees and students at the Institute of Mathematics

The next 'Women in Maths and Computer Science’ network meeting will take place this coming Tuesday, from 12 to 2pm in the room 40.00.006 (Emil-Fischer Strasse 40).

We will begin at 12:15pm with a short informative talk by Dr. Isabel Fraas (office of the University’s Women's Representative) on unconscious bias, with several interesting new references on the subject. Then we will have our usual coffee/tea break, and then a discussion on ``Why we need more women in mathematics and computer science?''. There is a little survey on this question on our WueCampus page, that you are invited to take beforehand, even if you do not plan to come to the event.

We are looking forward to seeing many of you there! We will be there starting at 12pm; you can join us already then for a first tea/coffee break before the event starts :) Also, since this is during lunch break, everyone is of course welcome to bring their lunch if they want to. We will provide cookies, as usual!

Please see/register here for more details, or if you are interested in this series of meetings:

Please note/remember as well that I am your Women’s representative as of this academic year, and that I stay at your disposal if you have any questions or concerns regarding equity at our faculty. You can contact via:

I wish you all a good weekend an excellent start in the Summer term!
