• Academic degree: Dr. rer. nat.
• Enrollment: as a PhD student
• PhD degree regulations of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science:  current version form 09.10.2019.  previous version from 08.01.2014.
• PhD students at the institute: about 50 as research staff, about 5 research fellows, about 5 external doctoral students
• Scientific exchange: senior seminars in the research groups, self-organized research group-wide PhD student seminar
